Cain used his sling and struck Jack Frost. Not to be out done by the monk I shot three arrows at Jack Frost. Two of my shots found my mark.

Jack rushed us and Kriegos took the opening to strike at Jack. Jack took a swipe at both Cain and I. His attacked chilled my body and I could tell Cain was feeling the same effect. As quickly as he attacked he disappeared in a flash reappearing where he started.

Vorngust calls out to his god and his shield erupts into a flame. Jack Frost blasted us with a gust of wind chilling our bodies more. I shot more arrows at him as the found their mark.

Then he appeared, a huge indominable snowman.

Vornagust engaged the indomitable snowman while the rest of us continued to engaged Jack Frost. Jack Frost began darting across the room and disappearing. He would appear attack and then disappear. A solid strategy but one that would fail against our combine might.

The battle was over in a matter of minutes. We destroyed the snowman and put Jack down when he finally reappeared. We then proceeded to head further down into the catacombs.

We came across several crypts that had various epitaphs. Kriegos and I started reading the epitaphs to determine which if any we should open. Poor Kriegos did not have the strength to open the crypts but I helped him. I then asked him to speak with the long dead people, while I never saw him do such a thing it just struck me that it is something he would do. He seemed to bond with the spear and having wielded it, those two seem like they were a well fit.

As time pass Kriegos is able to determine the general location of where Strahd may be. We moved forward down into the catacombs. I felt it, the sense of heighten awareness. My heart pumping waiting to power my body. My time in Barovia will be coming to an end soon.
