So last weekend I was downtown and visited a comic book shop (please do not tell my local comic book store I was cheating on them). As I was looking around in the small shop a book caught my eye that I just had to buy. Rolled and Told where gaming and comics meet.
I am gearing up to run a pathfinder game for my group, and I am always looking for ideas to engage my players. I normally pick up pathfinder comics with the hope of reading them to stimulate new ideas (but sadly I never getting around to reading the books I collect). Rolled and Told actually got me reading the book and spawn several ideas for future adventures.
I picked up issue 11 which contained and Undersea Adventure. The comics itself server as a module with flavor text and specially crafted underwater theme magic items. I was impressed with the story and the fact that it included a map to use in the adventure.
Now I collect comic books because I like them and eventually, I hope some of the books will be worth something in the future. So, I relieved when I discovered you can go to rolledandtold.com and download the maps for free. I should also mention that the adventures are geared towards Dungeons and Dragons Fifth edition (5E). So, you may have to do a little work if you’re not running 5E.
One more thing I must add, this end in a happy romance as I plan to stop by my local comic book shop later this week and add Rolled and Told to my subscription. 🙂
Do you think you would buy Rolled and Told? Have you bought Rolled and Told? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below.
