Wendy’s has created a fantasy role-playing game. As my friend said the burger place Wendy’s? Yes. I was skeptical of their game.

So when you download the PDF it is a beefy 97 pages. You are greeted with:

THE FIGHT AGAINST FROZEN BEEF

Queen Wendy, first of her name, breaker of fast food chains, defender of all things fresh, never frozen.

I must admit I am impressed with the flow of the game. It is easy to grasp for all experience levels. They do a good job explaining the rules and how to created a character. They also provide pregenerated characters if your ready to jump in and play.

The next section is for the Game Master, they explain how the game should start off and progress. In essence they provide a module for game play. They clearly tell you what to read to players as well as useful maps. The Game Master section is pretty solid.

GATHER YOUR PARTY

Enter the realm of Beef ’s Keep, a place filled with treasure, adventure and the occasional dad joke. Battle your way through frozen foes and explore dangerous dungeons. If you are up to the task, glory awaits. Grab a hamburger and get ready to level up.

In addition to a nice jam pack PDF, Wendy’s site also offers characters sheets as well as an online dice roller. A very nice touch 🙂

I find it amazing that Wendy’s created a fantasy RPG. Dungeons and Dragons is becoming more trendy with main stream establishments cashing in on its cool factor. Well played Wendy’s, well played indeed.
