While flying free in the sky I saw them arrest one of the survivors. I intervene as they escorted him to the town. Humans can be so fickle some times they draw weapons on me when I am clearly unarmed. However they are an adaptive race and they allowed me in to the city where I met the commander. He allowed me to speak with the survivors, he even allowed me to look through their belongings.

I went the prison cell and talked with the survivors. Averous was a strong looking human who seem breed for war. Averous was being arrested for treason and murder. When I spoke to him he said that he was not guilty. It was because of his companions that he was arrested.

The dwarf Haacker was mad calling the others murders. Saying they shot people in the back. He also was amazed that I could speak dwarvern. Haacker choose to speak in common while I continue to speak dwarven to him. He was noticeable upset with the others. He also talked about shape-shifters that assumed the form of guards.

Another human was in the cell but he had nothing to say to me. A half was in the cell as well but he seemed to be afraid of me. So having not discovered anything I turned and left. Before I could leave the cell the half spoke to me in the tongue. How odd it was he was able to speak the tongue of the ancient, he must had been around elves for a while. He said that people were hunting for the trinkets I seek.

I went back to the commander and confronted him about the shape-shifters. He said the dwarves had some heads and he expected them to believe him. I then told him that I wanted to speak with the children. The commander asked me would I be staying for long and I informed him that I would.

I explain to the commander that I wish to help avert a war by finding a lost artifact. He then told the guards to allow me to stay in the room where the prisoners were before they were arrested. But before I went to the room I went to visit the children. They were happy to see me, and told me to tell Haacker that they missed him. The dwarf seemed to have left quite the impression on the children.

I begin to pray in the church, since they kept the order. The priest asked me if he could join me. I was honored to pray with a kindred spirit. I then gave the priest a platinum piece and went to the room to rest.

The room they gave me was the Green Griffon Inn and it had no windows. How odd that a living area would have no windows. I stretched my wings then drifted to sleep.

I was awoken in the middle of the night and told that the others would be freed from jail. Escape was a better word for how they received their freedom. I did not approve of them escaping but the man Byron told me that this town was corrupted. He also told me that the priest told him that he saw me in a vision and I was to lead the others to the forest. I do trust the priest; he keeps and heeds the words of Ceplar.

Two hours later they arrive but only three of them. Averous was missing; I asked them what happened to him. Apparently he followed the law and chooses to remain behind. Very admirable, except he tried to foil the others escape. I do not know whether this was a good or bad thing. It was decided that we leave him behind and we left for the forest.

It took several days for us to make it to the forest. Once there I could tell the others were in awe of the forest. We start wandering the forest; the others wanted to know where I was leading them. I really did not know I only had a feeling to go on.

The half one wish to leave as well as the dwarf, they asked me why are they here. I could not give them a valid reason; I only had a feeling to go on. That was not good enough for the half or the dwarf. So at day break they plan to go their separate ways. I felt sorry for them because they were in Elvin lands. I am responsible for bring them here.

During my watch I saw movement in the bushes; I checked the bushes but saw nothing. I saw other bushes move but glancing at them I saw nothing. I called out in Ancient Elvin and said brother. What I saw was a sight to behold. The bushes were a combination of vines, dead leaves, branches and other items of nature.

I position myself in front of my companions and stretched my wings out to protect them. I heard them say in Elvin attack and that is what woke the others up. When the soldier Lothar awoke he immediately shot two arrows at the creatures. Within seconds he succumbs to their pollen which puts him to sleep.

They begin to pull him away and the master dwarf went to rescue him. He was successful in rescuing the solider but then succumb to other pollen which made him crazy mad. The bushes jumped the half one knocking him unconscious.

The dwarf threw rocks at one and hit with a good aim. But they surrounded him and the onslaught begins. I tried to rescue the dwarf but he was too heavy to grab, so instead I tried to rescue the solider. I was unable to do so, I then took to the skies and the bushes said they are dying in a child like voice.

I return to the land to heal them and then followed the brushes as they lead me away. After a good journey they led me to a pool where water being came up. He introduced himself as the oracle and he explain to me that he actually was saving us from the elves. It had a body of a humanoid but many faces attached to serpent like heads, truly a sight to behold on the marvel of nature. The oracle explained that the elves were tracking us and preparing to kill us. I do not understand why my brothers would attack me.

I fell asleep on the moss and when I awoke I saw the others approach. The fairies and other woodland creatures had been playing with my equipment. So I had to recover my equipment.
