Everyone met the Oracle which greeted us by name. A very weird creature, when you look into it, a face appears like yours staring back.
The Oracle told us that the gifts were on their way to the wizard Ioroch who wishes for war to happen between the elves and all. The gifts are from the king to be give to the king of the elves Tordorff. Apparently a magi named Ioroch wishes to corrupt the energies and go unnoticed hiding his plans under the cover of a war.
The Oracle chooses to preserve life and therefore he tells us that we must stop the diplomats and rescue the gifts. At this point I believe someone must have angered the Oracle because he requested gifts. I had no problem giving him a gift I just found it odd that he requested it. Perhaps when my quest is over I will return to the Oracle and ask why it asks for gifts. Perhaps it seeks something as well.
After we gave it gifts the Oracle told us that Haacker was the only one who can retrieve the dwarven artifacts. The half asked about whether or not Ioroch resided in the tower of green. He did not reside there but I was told that the tower of green is where I will find the artifact. The tower of green is where I must soon journey. In parting the Oracle told us that we would meet up with on who hunts the false diplomats.
Eventually we met up with a worshipper of Ceplar. His name was Fei’yin and he told us that Ceplar sent him to find us. He had heard from an earth oracle that he would meet us. When he saw me he bowed before me, I told him to arise for he should not bow before me. I have always admired and respected the Arm of Ceplar for they are the ones that enforce the law and all that is good.
As we traveled we happened across an Elvin scout who was working with his dagger. He had several wolves around him looking at him. I hid behind a tree, and watched the encounter unfold. Fei’yin started to talk with them in Elvin and tell them that he means no harm.
It looked as if hostilities were about to erupted when I spoke to him in the tongue of the Ancient. I told him to forgive my allies that they were naïve but we had good intentions. He wanted to see my orders, since after all I was violating the decree.
I called out to Haacker in dwarven and told him to show him the necklace the Oracle gave us. Haacker showed him them necklace that the Oracle created and he examined it. My cousin then ignored all other and approaches me, asking me why I would break the decree. I really do not wish to break the decree but the church has me on a mission to retrieve the lost artifact. My companions are the key to retrieving it I explain to my Elvin cousin. After much talk he called for his friends and they led us to the diplomats.
My Elvin cousin had his wolf show us where the diplomats were at then it left. Haacker came up with a plan that we would confront them and see what they know. I tried to explain to the master dwarf Haacker that I should talk to them first. But he was insisted that we all go together. But he wanted my presence for a shock value.
Once we approached them a sturdy warrior was the one to talk to Haacker. Haacker explained that we will accompany them the rest of the way to ensure the gift reaches the king. But they were reluctant to allow us to accompany them on their journey. Haacker then explain that the elves are fickle and that is why I was accompanying them. Haacker tried to be diplomatic and the warrior accompanying the diplomatic told the others that he would handle us.
I came forward but Ussars said he had made his decision and no matter what I said it still did not change his decision. Fei’yin dismounted off his horse. Fei’yin had been studying the diplomats for some time now.
Fei’yin withdrew his longsword and said I don’t think the king would send evil men. What happens next, words can not explain justly, Lothar attacked Fei’yin with three arrows. Fei’yin fell much to my shock and lay bleeding on the ground dying. Ussars shouted run away they are attacking.
I looked at Fei’yin and the diplomat that carried the box. My choice was clear I took to the skies. I heard the chants of arcane casting and I knew it was a spell for quickness.
I took after him and he led me on a long chase. By Ceplar might this diplomat run faster than I can fly. He was running faster than anyone I have ever seen. It took all my strength and stamina just to keep up. But Ceplar shined on me this day, for the diplomat did know I was following him in the skies.
He stopped and casts a spell and darkness engulfs part of the forest behind him. I still flew all my might to catch him. I took out my bolas and prepared to catch my prey. He saw me coming and tried to run but I threw the bolas at him. I must say it again Ceplar was with me that day for he guided my aim. I tripped my prey and descended on upon him. I asked Ceplar to hold him in place, divine ropes came from the heavens and went to wrap around him. He swatted the ropes and they did not hold him.
The diplomat was please that he thwarted the will of Ceplar. I then commanded him to sleep and he simply laughed as he resisted the command. He then began to chant the arcane language of the magi and I quickly kicked him in the head disrupting his magic.
I became desperate and I flew to rip the backpack off of him. I managed to grab the backpack holding the box. We tussled and I manage to break it from his grasp. I had the backpack and I was one step closer to completing my quest. I took to the skies I felt the wind greet me, I was free I had done it.
I heard the diplomat yelling at me telling me to stop but I ignored him. I heard the arcane words again and I felt a warning from Ceplar. I flew awkward as if dodging some unknown foe. Then I felt it, the heat and fire, some of my feathers were being singed. The diplomat hurled a huge ball of fire at me. Though it missed it exploded and injured me. I continued to fly to where I left the others.
When I returned I saw that the half vothar was lying beside Fei’yin both of them were unconscious. Both Haacker and Lothar were also wounded. I saw one of archers from the diplomat party lay dead, and Ussars was tied up and knocked out. I descended and glanced over at Fei’yin who had been bandaged.
I went to Lothar and told him to give me his bow. He asked why and I told him that I will take it because he shot Fei’yin. I stretched out my hand with my palm open for him to hand me the bow. I then told him that he can give me the bow or he can leave.
