We rested for many days after our last encounter. Cepler had seen fit to enhance me to continue on. It took a few days to learn how to properly pray and thank Cepler for the gifts he bestowed on me.

When we were ready to move we came across a huge flying creature. It was then that we had to battle for our very lives. The creature looked like a cross between a large human and a huge vulture. It had strong, sinewy limbs covered with small grey feathers, a long neck topped with a vulture head, and vast feathered wings.

I prayed to Cepler that he aid as we fought the creatures. Haacker of course attacked the flying creature that landed. The little creatures then join in and attack us as well. The demon creatures came back as well.

I did battle with the creature in the air. It multiplied itself and I had to engage eight of them now. With a mighty swing I attacked one of the creatures and drew blood. It then slashed at me, the wound it caused me to land for I could no longer sustain flight.

When the battle was over Lothar had been slained. Fei’yin begged Cepler to raise Lothar back to life. Fei’yin vanished into nothingness as the holy lights rained down upon him. He is now gone to commune with Cepler, now and forever more. Lothar’s lifeless body was restored and he walks the land again.

We went to the town that was close to Lung’s Tower. There remained the remnants of a battle as most of the people we dead. The town looked as if it had been abandon for some time, perhaps two or so weeks.

During the middle of the night an audible alarm went off and a wizard entered. He wanted to know what we were doing in a town possessed by demons. He looked at Haacker, and the two argued. He seemed satisfied with all of us and he fell into a deep sleep.

When we awoken he was still asleep. Haacker tried to wake him and was cracked upside his head with the staff the Mage held on to. I tried to talk to him but he begged us to let him sleep. When he did wake, I asked him his name, he replied saying he was the Great Exades Dre. He was on a mission to hunt demons that linger in this town. He wanted to know if we would aid him in his quest.
