There is a lot of buzz coming from Pathfider. Paizo, the publishers of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, announced they are going to offer a special playtesting version of the upcoming Pathfinder 2nd Edition rules.

There will be a PDF version and a limited run of print copies of the Pathfinder Playtest Rulebook,  Doomsday Dawn adventure, and flip mats. The PDFs will be free and available for download on August 2nd. Print copies will be available for preorder starting March 20th.

Paizo will also offer print copies in their booth at Gen Con this year (August 2nd to the 5th). If the popularity is anything like StarFinder you can expect long lines at their booth. If you don’t preorder I’d recommended getting to their booth early to secure a copy. Paizo has said they will not reprint the Playtest version of the books so you’ll have a limited chance to get your hands on one!
