Nikolean informs us that a healer will be joining our efforts. We then hear a knock at the door and on queue Yrvanis enters.

We spend a better part of the afternoon informing Yrvanis of the particulars in this town and our rat infestation. He informs me he is unable to remove the curse from me and we spend the rest of the day ensuring he is properly armed.

Once armed we decide to visit our one lead, a gnome alchemist name Nyxar. I perform recon on the home and then pick the lock to the front door and we entered. The home appeared abandon as we explored the various rooms. We enter deeper into the manor until we came to what appeared a storage area or workshop.

I saw a single string of web and tried to exit the room and warn Lucius and Yrvanis. It was not meant to be, the creature knew I was aware of it and attacked me. Some things you just cannot unsee I will forever be chilled by those sight of those eyes.

I would like to say we dispatch the spiders without much problems but that would be a lie. The creepy creatures had a knack of disappearing and reappearing behind us. If I did not know any better I would say they were trained as rogues!

After several minutes of fighting we manage to kill four of them and we found Nyxar held up in a room frighten. We offer to escort him out of the home once he informed us there was still a spider about. We were unable to find a spider, I hate the fact it is on the loose but nothing I could do about it.

Nyxar blabs about how Stiener double crossed him. Nyxar was creating potions to be used, they would give the user the ability to phase and move about freely. Once again this was information we had to take to Zacarius as this would impact his defenses.

I am starting to get the impression that Zacarius is tired of us bringing people back to the guild hall. He has a spirited conversation with Nyxar and makes arrangement to prepare for an attack .

Yrvanis, Lucius, and I follow our last reaming lead to the only hideout we are aware of. I attempt to do recon on the home and for the first time I was discovered. I talked my way out of the encounter and tried again. I can hear Lucius in my ear that Yrvanis was working on the front door. So I chose to scale the wall and examine the perimeter from a rooftop perch.

I spotted the guard doing his rounds along with three other people seeking warmth from a fire. I made a mental note and continue to walk softly on the roof looking for more guards. I hear Lucius in my head telling me that the guards in the front are no longer a problem.

I flip down in front of Yrvanis and gently open the door. I could see three rat people looking in the room, they did not notice me so I close the door. Lucius made his way to our location from the shop. We decide to stealth in, I went first then Lucius followed. Yrvanis was last and he made so much noise.

Our cover was blown, Yrvanis though he cannot sneak as well as us, he can hold his own in a fight. We dispatched three were-casters and one were berserk. Both Yrvanis and Lucius wanted to retreat. I wanted to stay and fight but I had to relent as we all were pretty banged up. We set the house ablaze and retreat outside to watch the commotion of our actions.

We saw one of the leaders exit the building and then march off. I stayed behind them trailing them to see where they were headed. I tracked him to a inn and watch him enter a room. I could not access it so took a note and return to Lucius and Yrvanis to report my findings.

When this is all over I plan to relax for a entire week sleeping, eating, and taking hot baths in hopes off purging all the horrors I have seen.
